This is an un cut video, meaning that it is pretty much the raw footage straight off the camera, with only seconds here and there cut out.  I know some of you may appreciate seeing moments that shape the games you play that aren’t always the most action packed.

Filmed on my iPhone 6s.  Stabilized while I shot by the “Dragon Fly” handheld stabilizer by Digital Juice, I recommend it highly, its a very simple and easy to use piece of equipment.

INTRODUCTION:
BTA zombie games are not scripted. Each wave has a loose scenario with objectives you the players must follow. How you accomplish them is up to your skills and tactics. Interaction, dialog, and allegiances between the different living “teams” is left up to you. Your success or failure dictates how you are rewarded or punished in the following rounds. It could mean the difference between having numbers, ammo, supplies, even how many opponents you will face… or what you lose! BTA zombies are not merely targets… do not expect them to act as such. They are unarmed, walking, “players” with only one goal… wiping out you “living” players!

WAVE ONE = DEFEND CAMP & SUPPLY RUN:
The survivors left one team to keep it’s camp secure from roaming Zombies, while a “supply run” squad was sent out to scrounge surrounding locations.

The supply run squad gathered all of the supplies before discovering a Scientist holding up in a nearby ruined building. They approached cautiously, and were fired on by BCO Operatives dressed in all black!

The BCO operatives viciously left shot Survivors to be eaten or turned by a few of their pet zombies guarding their perimeter.

However, as it turned out… the Scientist was a BCO captive and managed to escape with sensitive material. He then linked up with the lone remaining Survivor, and they made their way back to the Survivor camp.

Unfortunately, the camp was under heavy attack from Zombies and in the confusion the Scientist was shot by the BCO Operatives who pursued them and discovered the location of the camp!

WAVE TWO – TRANSPORT:
Before the Scientist was killed he left the survivors with intel about a location that the Survivors could bring the sensitive materials to… where they could possibly use it to stop the virus or at least strike a heavy blow to the nefarious BCO plot! Unfortunately, BCO reinforcements arrived making this task difficult. Ultimately, the Survivors broke free of BCO’s grip… however they were overtaken again before they could reach their objective.

WAVE THREE – DEFEND FROM ASSAULT:
For the first time the Survivors have attracted an all out assault from BCO Operatives, who attacked the Survivor camp in force pursuing them into the surrounding forest. The Survivors fought well until they were forced into a group of zombies and BCO wiped them out.

While BCO normally takes samples of the dead and undead then departs… this time they wiped out all remaining survivors and Zombies?!

What is BCO up to now…? Come out to the fourth annual OPERATION: “DEAD OF NIGHT- 2016” next Summer to find out!!!

After the games we held a COSTUME CONTEST! Giving out fun patches to Best Zombie, Best Slayer, and best Civilian. Followed by another raffle of more zombie/survival themed Fun Prizes!

Watch the BTA web site AWARDS page for details on the prizes and winners… coming soon!

Last… but never least, very… very special thanks to everyone who came out and played with a great attitude and great imagination/costumes for always making this another great BTA event! Hope to see you all again soon!

Aerial Airsoft Drone – Operation Doom

Tuesday, July 15th, 2014

— I Like Airsoft.com presents, a Black Thorn Airsoft Game, Operation Doom 2013 – Aerial Airsoft Drone.

The footage captured was from a DJI Phantom quad copter and a GoPro Hero3.  Unfortunately, being a year ago, I didn’t have my Zenmuse H3 2D gimbal installed, so it was a challenge editing all this shaky footage as you can tell there may be a smooth shot but the “Jello” is in full effect as well as pretty bad blurring caused by the video stabilization.

Airsoft Game – Operation: “Tall Grass”

Friday, August 26th, 2011
Op "Tall Grass" Mushroom

Op "Tall Grass" Mushroom(Bigger than both my fists) that Old School discovered.

August 6th, 2011; a different scene from Utah’s hot and dry desert strikes us today.  The plush greenery of northern Utah’s woodland retreat near the cascade mountain range at close to 8,000 feet in elevation was the backdrop for this operation.

As the title understates, the “Tall Grass” was consuming.  Take a knee most places on one of the three playing fields and you were gone.  With a pleasant sight around every bend I was compelled to stop for intermission, at least for just a short moment amidst the shower of airsoft ammo flying through the air.

If you keep your eyes peeled at the beginning of the video you can actually see someone getting devoured by the “Tall Grass”, I think he made it out of there okay though. 😀

Photos for this operation can be found on the Operation “Tall-Grass” Pictures post.  The games in the video involved either knocking down a flag and/or putting one up by the opposing team. Please watch and enjoy!
